As a financial advisor assistant, you help a financial advisor support clients, especially when it comes to personal interactions with that client. You may help evaluate a potential investment, create daily schedules, provide customer service when clients have questions, and perform any other tasks required by the primary financial advisor. Assistants often schedule meetings, process emails and phone calls, create reports, prepare paperwork, clean the office, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and generally see to the minutiae inherent to running a complex business. Some financial advisor assistants specialize in specific areas, such as money markets, insurance interests, or international investments.
