Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform change overs, as well as conduct repair and maintenance of all production and equipment.
  • Performs work in a safe manner following all company safety rules and procedures.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable requirements of the Company's ISO/cGMP quality system as documented in the Quality Manual, System Procedures, and Work Instructions.
  • Performs corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Operates and monitors compressed air generating equipment.
  • Assists in training of Maintenance Mechanic (C) and (B).
  • Assists in establishment and performance of preventative maintenance procedures on assigned equipment.
  • Makes recommendations for the fabrication or modification of machinery, fixtures and methods.
  • Maintains all necessary records including equipment logs and work orders.
  • Maintains immediate work area, tools, materials and equipment acceptable to the Company.
  • Notifies supervisor of impending shortages and any problems with material.
  • Assists Senior Mechanic in ultrasonic/electronic testing repair
  • Provides support to Manufacturing Engineering to optimize new product processes and facilities requirements.

Pay Rate
$27-$30 USD/HR
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Mechanical Trade or Technical school
  • 1-3 years machine maintenance of automated production equipment; familiarity with all production equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical ability; ability to use hand tools, gauges, meters; knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics; able to work independently
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to a production environment
  • Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to utilize time and resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Sense of urgency, ability to take action quickly in fast-paced environment.
