The Moab Office of Tourism is the official destination marketing organization of Moab, Utah, dedicated to driving visitation to support the local economy. The office also includes the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission, responsible for attracting and supporting local film production.
Role Description
This role serves as key administrative and operational support for the Moab Office of Tourism and Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission. Responsibilities include managing daily administrative functions, producing and organizing a significant volume of digital files, financial processing, board coordination, community grants, and visitor services. The position requires exceptional technological, organizational and multitasking skills.
Essential Functions
- Administration and Operations: Develop and manage electronic files and organizational systems. Maintain office environment and warehouse. Handle routine website updates. Coordinate with other Grand County departments.
- Accounting and Finance: Manage and submit invoices, process payments, and track and report department budget activity. Perform basic calculations in spreadsheets related to tax collection, hotel occupancy, visitation metrics, and financial data.
- Board and County Commission Support: Schedule Moab Tourism Advisory Board (MTAB) meetings, draft minutes, and publish agendas via CivicPlus. Set up and run Zoom and other meeting technology at all public meetings.
- Visitor Relations: Answer questions on the Moab Information Center public phone line. Greet all office guests and provide destination and travel information to walk-in tourists.
- Community Engagement: Administer the Special Event Marketing Grant program and coordinate subcommittee meetings. Distribute weekly visitor email leads.
