Department: Capri Sun
Position Type: Hourly

Function: Operations
The statements included in this Position Description reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not to be interpreted as being all inclusive. The focus should be on the position and not the current incumbent.
Summary: Safely operates and maintains Filler Machine in order to fill and package drink pouches.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant's safety goals. Safety - must be on a Safety Team either as a co-leader or participant. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures; follows Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Dress Code policies. Coordinate daily and weekly maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment uptime. Starts up, operates, and shuts down Capri Sun filling, cooling, sealing, straw placing, carton forming, carton filling and sealing equipment, Video Jet coder and conveying systems; perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Monitors mechanical operation of equipment, unjam machines, helps troubleshoot and notifies technician and/or Coordinator of issues; knows E stops and other parts/functions of the filler. Monitors quality issues and performs and records checks on pouch code legibility and correctness, weights, temperatures, seal integrity, straws, Sanitation Check points and daily PM`s. Needs solid understanding of quality PH swabs, HACCP program and PM work orders. Communicates with Filler Utility to ensure adequate quantities of accurate packaging materials are on the line. Maintains good housekeeping, and performs Mini cleans, CIP`s, interdictives, product pushes and hot flushes. Provides input toward team development and participates in Green Room process improvement meetings. Occasionally staying over for second level green room. Able to operate Hertzler (wt.) program and OEE down time program efficiently on computer. Should know filler utility's responsibilities to assist as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security.
WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
