Job description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join a client's team at (1) of their properties in Minneapolis, MN (55411). The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in affordable housing: full cycle leasing, recertifications, HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and related affordable housing programs. This role is direct hire.

Salary: $58,240 - $80,600 DOQ.

Schedule: Monday โ€“ Friday: 42 hours/week - Salaried 8:00 - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Marketing, reviewing applications, and income qualify applicants
  • Conducting thorough inspections prior to move in, assigning work orders to caretakers, maintenance, or vendors
  • Moving in new residents and understanding and explaining all lease documents
  • Building tenant relations
  • Completing additional special projects.
  • Training new assistant site managers
  • Collecting rent, entering into Yardi, and filing unlawful detainers per procedures
  • Complying with Section 8, tax credit, and/or other deferred loans that are on the property
  • Understanding financials and budgets
  • Ability to manage staff
  • Inputting maintenance work orders
  • Maintaining tenant files
  • Filing
  • Answering phones

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2โ€“5+ years of property management experience in affordable housing
  • In-depth experience with HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and related affordable housing programs.
  • Budget preparation and financial report analysis experience.
  • Vendor and contract management experience.
  • 2-5+ years of supervisory experience with staff coaching and development.
  • 2-5+ years of Yardi experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
