What Will You Do?

  • Accounting Coordinators ensure that the accounting department operates smoothly.
  • Communicate with all new clients to confirm what services we are going to provide and what documents are required to move forward.
  • Follow-up with current clients on a regular basis regarding pending documents and the status of their account via phone, email, and/or text.
  • Assist with quarterly payroll filings for clients as well as setting up proper government entity accounts for filing.
  • Assist with data entry and the preparation of financial reports.
  • Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and/or in-person.
  • Work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What Do You Need?

The Accounting Coordinator will have a basic understanding of accounting principles with the ability to multitask and remain motivated.

  • Positive attitude and customer service mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with great follow up.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the skill to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • The ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.
  • Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Coachable mindset and student mentality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s software systems.
  • Mastery of bookkeeping software with strong typing skills.
  • Expertise with computers and software, such as MS Excel or QuickBooks.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience of accounting administration.
  • Associate degree (preferred)
  • Access to the following equipment to perform the required work duties.
  • A computer, laptop, monitor, tablet and/or smart phone.
  • Internet - a minimum of 50 Mbps internet service with a recommended speed of 100 Mbps for optimal performance.
  • Satisfactory background and reference checks.
