Medical Records Uploader

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Uploader to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for accurately receiving, scanning, indexing, uploading, and maintaining patient medical records within our electronic medical record (EMR) system. The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, and committed to ensuring that patient documentation is complete, accurate, and readily accessible to clinical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Receive medical records from hospitals, physician offices, facilities, and internal departments.
  • Scan, upload, and index patient documents into the EMR system accurately and timely.
  • Review records for completeness and ensure documents are filed under the correct patient chart.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Organize and manage electronic and paper records as needed.
  • Communicate with clinical staff and referral sources regarding missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Monitor upload queues and prioritize urgent patient records.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy and proper filing.
  • Assist with record requests, audits, and additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical records, healthcare administrative, or EMR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with scanning, indexing, and document management systems is a plus.
  • Full Time 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday
