About the Role:
Murphy Karpie Connelly and Sickinge is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Shelton, CT. Responsibilities:
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
  • Manage and organize case files, both physical and electronic
  • Schedule appointments, depositions, hearings, and court deadlines
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • File documents with courts electronically as required
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation and document management
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar legal support role
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and document filing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
