IBM FileNet / IBM Datacap Administrator - ECM Support Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBM FileNet and IBM Datacap Administrator with strong expertise in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms and document management technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for application administration, environment support, system monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration management, and operational support of document management solutions.
This role requires hands-on experience with IBM FileNet, IBM Datacap, Linux/AIX/Windows administration, middleware technologies, databases, and production support environments.
Key Responsibilities
Application & Environment Support
  • Provide day-to-day administration and operational support for IBM FileNet and IBM Datacap environments.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and patch management activities.
  • Build and configure application environments across development, testing, and production landscapes.
  • Monitor system health, performance, capacity utilization, and availability.
Incident & Problem Management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and performance-related issues.
  • Support end users by investigating and resolving application incidents.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, database, middleware, and vendor teams for issue resolution.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
System Administration
  • Administer IBM FileNet P8 and IBM Datacap platforms.
  • Manage Linux, AIX, and Windows servers in both user and administrator capacities.
  • Support middleware components including IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM MQ.
  • Perform code migrations and application deployments following established change management processes.
Database & Storage Support
  • Work with DB2, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Support NFS, NAS, SSL certificates, and storage-related configurations.
  • Monitor database performance and coordinate optimization activities.
Documentation & Operational Excellence
  • Create and maintain operational procedures, runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge articles.
  • Develop process documentation for application administration and support activities.
  • Ensure adherence to application lifecycle management and release management processes.
Monitoring & Performance Management
  • Monitor applications using Dynatrace and other enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Conduct system resource planning, forecasting, and performance tuning activities.
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives to ensure system stability and availability.
On-Call Support
  • Provide off-hours support for scheduled maintenance activities and critical production incidents.
  • Participate in production support rotations as required.
