Position Overview 
The Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) is seeking an experienced Production Support Java Developer to join its Technology Services team. This is a 100% onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity supporting mission-critical enterprise applications. The selected candidate will troubleshoot production issues, develop system enhancements, deploy critical fixes, and support modernization of legacy applications while working across the full application stack. 
The role requires strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Oracle Databases, and production support within an Agile/DevOps environment. 
Required Skills 
  •  5+ years of experience as a Java Developer
  •  3+ years developing Java web applications or web services
  •  Strong experience with Java 17+
  •  Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Security
  •  Experience with Oracle Databases
  •  Experience with JSP, JavaScript, Apache Tomcat
  •  Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Scrum
  •  Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and/or Test Driven Development (TDD)
  •  Knowledge of secure software development and vulnerability remediation 
  •  Experience with version control, configuration management, and continuous integration
