Location: Middleton/Madison area, WI


Jason Thomas Homes is a custom home builder known for delivering highly personalized, architecturally distinctive homes throughout Dane County and Northern Wisconsin. We're seeking a reliable, part-time administrative support person to handle in-person and office-based tasks, including permit drop-offs/pickups and light administrative duties.


This role is intentionally part-time and flexible. It's best for someone organized, responsive, and comfortable handling paperwork, scanning documents, and running occasional errands that support active projects.


You'll support our office team with local admin tasks, including permitting, document handling, and occasional "catch-all" support that helps keep projects moving.


Key Responsibilities

  • Permit & city submissions: drop off/pick up permits and related documents (architectural review, utility applications, etc.)
  • Document handling: scan, upload, and organize paperwork (permits, invoices, project docs) into our digital filing system
  • Mail & invoice support: receive mail, identify invoices/documents, and route them to the right person/process (scan and email/upload as needed)
  • Admin support: help with filing, data entry, and task follow-up as assigned
  • Occasional errands: run local project-related errands as needed (sporadic, not daily)

Qualifications

  • Local to the Madison/Middleton area with reliable transportation
  • Strong organization and follow-through; comfortable working independently
  • Able to handle paperwork accurately and keep files organized
  • Basic computer skills (email, scanning, Google Drive/Dropbox-style filing)
  • Construction or office admin experience is a plus, but not required
  • Professional, responsive communicator

Compensation

  • Part-time: approximately 20 hours/week, flexible schedule based on project needs
  • W-2 employment
  • Hourly pay: $20 to $25/hour (based on experience)
