Job description

You will serve as a MAIL & FILE CLERK in the Corporate Operations and Total Force Directorate, HQ Infrastructure and Operations Facilities of NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NK-01 (GS-04 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing a computer system for control and processing of incoming and outgoing mail to improve efficiency of an organization.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.Education:In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
4 years above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education that adds up to 100% of the requirement. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
