Job description

Our busy law firm in Downtown Annapolis looking for a part time legal assistant/file clerk. Preferred candidates should be detail-oriented, have good word processing skills, work well in a team setting. Previous office experience is preferred but not required. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and this position is for 2-3 days/week.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Filing, photocopying, organizing and other assigned clerical support tasks.
  • Sorting, delivering, picking up and sending mail.
  • Managing all files and opening of new files/ maintaining main legal data base.
  • Answering and transferring phone calls, triaging people to the appropriate resource. Front Desk coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently.
  • Previous office experience.
