Job description

Job Title: Fourth & Fifth Grade Math Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: Saint Raphael School

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:
 Saint Raphael School is seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time teacher to provide mathematics instruction for fourth and fifth grade students. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, faith-centered learning environment while meeting academic standards set by the Diocese of Cleveland and the State of Ohio.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid State of Ohio teaching licensure
  • Virtus Certification
  • Current BCII and FBI background checks
  • Must have, or be actively enrolled in, a cohort for Religion Certification through the Diocese of Cleveland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume direct responsibility for students throughout the school day, from arrival through dismissal
  • Teach fourth and fifth grade mathematics curriculum in alignment with Diocese of Cleveland and State of Ohio standards
  • Fulfill assigned supervision duties
  • Maintain daily schedule: arrival no later than 8:20 AM and dismissal no earlier than 4:00 PM
  • Moderate at least one student club (Math Team and Morning Math Help)
  • Participate in Professional Learning Communities, staff meetings, and professional development (before, during, or after school)
  • Assist in OCSAA planning and implementation
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the principal

School & Community Involvement:

  • Attend and participate in school events, including but not limited to:
    • Parent-Teacher Conferences
    • Open Houses
    • Curriculum Nights
    • Christmas and Spring programs
    • Sacramental preparations and ceremonies (as applicable)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements:
 Maintain and submit all required documentation to the Diocese of Cleveland and/or school administration, including:

  • BCII/FBI fingerprinting records
  • Official transcripts
  • Catechist certification
  • State licensure documentation
  • Virtus training and bulletins
  • Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP)
  • Safety policies and Conduct of Ministry acknowledgments
  • Signed handbook and acceptable use policies

Salary:

Salary range: $37,450  commensurate with experience and qualifications.
