TNC FieldWorks, the union field services division of The Nuclear Company, supports America’s existing nuclear fleet and the broader energy industry by delivering specialized maintenance, outage execution, technical expertise, and workforce solutions through a union craft delivery model. FieldWorks is built specifically to plan, mobilize, and execute work in union labor environments, combining experienced nuclear and energy leadership with deep technical expertise, workforce planning, labor coordination, and field execution capabilities.

Through strong partnerships with customers and union halls, FieldWorks develops and deploys highly skilled craft and specialty technical talent for complex maintenance, outage, and project-based work. Our focus extends beyond providing labor, we build trusted, high-performing crews with the technical capability, training, and leadership required to safely and successfully execute critical work across nuclear, power generation, and energy-adjacent markets.

The Manager, Electrical FieldWorks is responsible for building, leading, and growing TNC FieldWorks' electrical capabilities, with a focus on developing and deploying highly skilled union craft and specialty technical teams for complex maintenance, testing, commissioning, outage, and project work across nuclear, power generation, and energy-adjacent markets.

This role combines deep electrical expertise with crew development, customer leadership, and field execution. Working closely with customers, union halls, field personnel, and company leadership, this individual helps identify critical skill needs, build and develop high-performing crews, and establish a dependable pipeline of technical talent. As an early FieldWorks leader, the Electrical Manager will help stand up the electrical organization, develop future technical leaders, and build trusted relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and union partners.

• Lead the planning, coordination, and oversight of electrical maintenance, testing, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, power distribution, outage, and specialty project work, ensuring union craft teams are positioned for successful field execution.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical field work, ensuring work is performed safely and in accordance with customer requirements, plant procedures, industry best practices, and applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to define project scopes, technical requirements, staffing needs, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Serve as a trusted electrical subject matter expert, providing technical expertise to support planning, workforce readiness, and resolution of complex field, equipment, and execution challenges.
• Support proposal development, technical estimating, bid preparation, and execution planning for new FieldWorks opportunities.

• Build and develop high-performing electrical crews by identifying the technical skills, experience, and leadership capabilities required for customer and project needs.
• Assess workforce capabilities and identify critical skill gaps, specialty talent needs, and areas requiring additional technical development.
• Partner with Training and field leadership to develop technical training, qualification, and workforce development strategies that strengthen crew readiness and capability.
• Coach, mentor, and develop craft professionals, technical specialists, and emerging field leaders, with an emphasis on technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Identify and develop trusted subject matter experts and specialty talent who can support complex work and future FieldWorks opportunities.
• Capture crew performance and lessons learned to continuously improve workforce selection, development, and future project execution.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with union halls and labor partners to support workforce planning, mobilization, and access to highly skilled craft and specialty talent.
• Partner closely with union representatives to understand workforce capabilities, identify high-performing talent, and develop reliable pipelines for current and future project needs.
• Build trusted relationships with utility customers, plant leadership, and field stakeholders through strong technical credibility, responsive communication, and consistent execution.
• Participate in outage planning meetings, customer reviews, site visits, and technical discussions to understand upcoming needs and align FieldWorks capabilities accordingly.
• Serve as a key connection point across customers, union partners, field personnel, and internal teams to support successful project execution and long-term partnerships.

• Help build and scale FieldWorks' electrical capabilities, including technical standards, workforce practices, training priorities, and field execution expectations.
• Identify opportunities to expand electrical and specialty service capabilities based on customer needs, workforce availability, and market demand.
• Collaborate with Operations, Training, Recruiting, Sales, and Project Management to ensure FieldWorks can consistently mobilize technically qualified, high-performing teams.
• Support the development of future technical leaders and help establish a strong leadership pipeline as the FieldWorks organization grows.
• Foster a culture centered on safety, technical excellence, craftsmanship, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience supporting electrical maintenance, testing, commissioning, outage execution, or specialty field services within nuclear, power generation, energy, or other heavy industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading and supporting union electrical craft and technical workforces in maintenance, outage, construction, or field service environments, with a strong understanding of union work practices and field execution.
• Strong technical expertise in one or more electrical disciplines, with the experience and credibility to serve as a trusted subject matter expert for customers, field teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to assess technical talent, identify critical skill gaps, and coach, teach, and develop craft personnel and technical specialists.
• Experience building, developing, and mobilizing high-performing crews for complex maintenance, outage, or specialty project work.
• Strong customer-facing communication and relationship-building skills, with the professionalism and technical credibility to work closely with utility customers, plant leadership, union partners, and field personnel.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution systems, motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, protective relays, motor control centers (MCCs), and industrial controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, work packages, technical specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Experience supporting workforce planning, scheduling, resource allocation, estimating, or execution planning for complex maintenance and outage work.
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical safety, quality, plant, and regulatory requirements, including electrical safe work practices, NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA requirements.
• Strong leadership, judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced outage and field environments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50% or more, including extended assignments during outages and project execution.

• Experience supporting commercial nuclear power plants and scheduled outage execution highly preferred
• Established relationships with union halls, craft organizations, or labor partners supporting nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial work.
• Experience developing or supporting technical training, qualification, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs.
• Experience identifying and developing specialty technical talent and subject matter experts for hard-to-fill or highly specialized electrical work.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or other relevant electrical certification.
• Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, protective relaying, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, or power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, NFPA 70E, NEC, EPRI, and other applicable electrical and nuclear industry standards.
• Demonstrated success building long-term customer relationships and identifying or supporting new business opportunities.

• Combination of office, customer site, and field environments, including regular visits to operating plant sites and customer locations.
• Travel 50% or more for customer meetings, project coordination and oversight, outage support, and industry conferences.
• May require extended hours, shift work, or on-call availability during planned outages or emergency customer support.
• Exposure to industrial and radiological environments while supporting nuclear facilities, power generation sites, and other energy assets; strict adherence to PPE, safety procedures, and quality standards is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access authorization for commercial nuclear power plants, as required.
• Must be able to stand, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in industrial environments as needed.

The estimated starting salary range for this role is $150,000–$173,000 annually, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis.

Additional Compensation: During required travel, this role will be compensated at the equivalent hourly rate and will be eligible for overtime pay + per diem for qualifying hours worked.
