The Field Service Technician is responsible for installation, commissioning, and technical support of high-precision glass processing equipment across North America. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills in an industrial environment, along with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and maintenance.
The technician will work closely with customers to ensure proper equipment operation, provide training, and deliver high-quality service support. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy travel, problem-solving, and working directly with customers in a technical capacity. Location: Detroit, MI Area.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
โ€ข Technical trade school or associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with at least 1 year of industrial experience, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
โ€ข Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
โ€ข Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical tools
โ€ข Strong problem-solving ability and technical aptitude
โ€ข Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
