Job Description: Position Objective

The role of Electric Utility Field Service Technician is to provide service and parts sales to the utility market with a focus in the Midwest region. This position will also lead internal and external training initiatives and provide customer support for all Electric Utility and utility sales and service needs.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform field service work to equipment sold and serviced by Jack Doheny Companies. These functions or task could be performed in various weather conditions.
• Travel throughout the Midwest and possibly outside the region performing service work and training.
• Perform work in the Whitestown service facility as needed
• Communicate daily with the Field Service Manager on service call status.
• Accurately and timely submit reports and work orders to the Field Service Manager.
• Maintain a well-organized and clean service truck.
• Communicate and interact with the customer on repairs and service in a professional manner.

Requirements:
• Must be insurable as a driver on the JDC insurance policy.
• Must be able to pass at DOT physical and obtain a DOT medical card.
• High School diploma or equipment.
• Ability to stoop, stand, bend, climb and / or crouch repeatedly during the day to perform needed tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team – self-starter.
• Must have own hand tools
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to read and understand mechanical / electrical drawings and service manuals.
• Must be willing and able to travel as needed to conduct field service tasks and trainings. This could be out of the State of Indiana.
• Must be computer literate and have the ability to communicate via email and perform tasks needed to relay data.
• Strong mechanical background including hydraulic and electrical systems – field service experience preferred.
• Must obey the laws established by local, State and federal authorities. As well as the policies and procedures of JDC.
• After training the candidate must meet or exceed the required monthly financial goals set forth by the JDC Field Service Manager.
• Be very organized and detail oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (listening, verbal and written)
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to learn our software
