POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the overall operations of our Minuteman Convenience store. As an hourly General Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, managing the store team, and achieving business targets. This hourly position will manage one of our emerging locations with annual insides sales less than $900k.  You will create a positive and productive work environment, while maintaining the store's visual appeal and upholding company standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional retail experiences. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, achieve revenue targets, and maximize profitability. 

  • Foster a customer-centric environment by training and motivating the store team to deliver exceptional service and build lasting customer relationships. 

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing store team, including sales associates, cashiers, and other support staff. 

  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to enhance employee performance and foster professional growth. 

  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and ensuring accurate stock levels to meet customer demands. 

  • Implement visual merchandising strategies to optimize product placement, maintain appealing displays, and enhance the overall shopping experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager, Retail Manager, or similar leadership role in the retail industry. 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers, employees, and stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and achieve business targets. 

  • Sound business acumen with a strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising. 

  • Proficiency in using computer systems, point-of-sale (POS) software, and other retail-related tools. 

  • Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
