Job description

Based in Atlanta, GA, the Field Service Manager will lead and oversee field service activities related to Low Voltage (LV) Busway systems and related electrical distribution equipment, including Busplugs, across the United States and North America.

This position is responsible for managing field operations in mission-critical facilities, including data centers, industrial, and commercial environments, ensuring successful installation, electrical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, installation support, and post-installation technical support activities. The Field Service Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

The Field Service Manager will supervise Field Technicians, coordinate closely with customers, subcontractors, project teams, and internal management, and serve as a key point of contact for field execution, technical support, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background, excellent leadership capability, customer-facing experience, and strong reporting and communication skills. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage teams, solve technical field issues, and drive successful project execution.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee field service activities for LV Busway systems and related electrical distribution equipment, including Busplugs, across multiple project sites
  • Manage and support Electrical Testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, troubleshooting, installation support, and issue resolution activities
  • Supervise and lead Field Technicians to ensure successful execution of project tasks, field service activities, and installation support
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to field personnel during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
  • Coordinate closely with customers, subcontractors, Project Managers, Engineering teams, and internal management to ensure alignment on project execution and expectations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer concerns, technical inquiries, field issues, and post-installation support needs
  • Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with technical drawings, installation standards, quality requirements, and safety procedures
  • Prepare and review detailed technical service reports, issue analysis, corrective actions, and field documentation
  • Develop and conduct training for Field Technicians, subcontractors, and customer representatives regarding installation procedures, electrical systems, and best practices
  • Monitor field performance and proactively resolve technical and operational issues to minimize project delays and customer impact
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to field service quality, safety, and operational efficiency
  • Travel frequently to project sites throughout the U.S. and occasionally across North America (travel readiness required)
  • Approximately 50% travel is expected, requiring flexibility and responsiveness to project and customer needs

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction, field service, power distribution systems, or related electrical industries required
  • Strong electrical background, preferably in LV power distribution systems, Busway systems, Busplugs, electrical commissioning, switchgear, or industrial electrical systems
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) required, with strong business communication and documentation skills
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports, service documentation, issue analysis, and customer-facing communications
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills with the ability to professionally manage customer concerns and field issues
  • Demonstrated experience leading Field Technicians or field teams and successfully completing project tasks to meet schedule, quality, and customer expectations
  • Strong leadership, team management, and task execution capability in fast-paced construction and field environments
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop Field Technicians and subcontractors
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with management, engineering teams, project teams, customers, and subcontractors
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and installation manuals
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and reporting tools preferred
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work on active construction sites
