We are seeking a Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate to join our Protein Engineering team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong molecular biology skills and a passion for scientific innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment focused on the development of novel therapeutic antibodies.
This is a full-time onsite position in Bothell, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and high-throughput molecular biology techniques, including library preparation, lentiviral vectors, PCR, restriction endonuclease digestion, Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, bacterial transformations, and plasmid purification.
  • Execute BLI, SPR, and other binding analytical assays, ensuring accurate and reproducible data to support characterization of protein candidates.
  • Design mammalian expression plasmids and cloning strategies for proteins and multi-specific antibodies.
  • Support high-throughput protein analytic workflows with automation to enable rapid screening and characterization of constructs.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Collaborate with team members to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing molecular workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
    • Research Associate II requires bachelor's degree and 2+ years of industry experience.
    • Senior Research Associate requires bachelor's degree with 5+ years or master's degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience with antibody-related workflows is a plus.
  • Liquid handler and automation experience are a plus.
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing workflows is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate's level qualifications, experience, and skills.
While most offers typically fall within the low to mid-point of the range, we may extend an offer toward the higher end for exceptional candidates whose background and expertise exceeds the requirements of the role.
