Job Summary/Overview
The SAP Project Manager leads end-to-end delivery of SAP initiatives including deployments, enhancements, integrations, and ERP migrations while driving process harmonization and global template adoption across the organization. This role oversees cross-functional teams, project governance, testing, cutover, and change management to ensure successful go-lives and long-term SAP stability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads end-to-end SAP project delivery, including planning, execution, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Manages SAP enhancements, upgrades, integrations, process improvements, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Leads deployment of the company's global SAP template to new locations, divisions, and acquired businesses operating on non-SAP or legacy ERP systems.
  • Drives ERP migration and business process harmonization efforts to align operations with global standards and best practices.
  • Develops and maintains project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and governance processes.
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, SAP analysts, developers, infrastructure teams, and external consulting partners.
  • Facilitates project steering committee meetings and provides status reporting to executive leadership.
  • Identifies, manages, and mitigates project risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes.
  • Oversees data migration, testing, cutover planning, deployment, and hypercare activities.
  • Partners with business leaders and process owners to support organizational change management and user adoption.
  • Ensures successful transition from project implementation to operational support.
  • Supports SAP roadmap planning and future SAP transformation initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of SAP architecture and core business processes.
  • Knowledge of SAP development lifecycle, transport management, testing, and release management processes.
  • Understanding of SAP integration strategies, master data management, and data migration methodologies.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to drive business process standardization and organizational change initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing SAP projects within SAP environments.
  • Proven experience leading SAP rollout projects, template deployments, ERP consolidations, or enterprise implementations.
  • Experience migrating organizations from legacy or non-SAP ERP systems to SAP.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and external implementation partners.
  • Experience managing project budgets, timelines, risks, resource planning, and executive communications.
  • Experience supporting testing, training, data conversion, cutover, go-live, and business readiness activities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
  • Brownfield migration experience from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA.
  • SAP system conversion and transformation program experience.
