Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description

This Project Manager role supports a large national travel center development program and other strategic national clients by overseeing multiple active construction projects across the United States. The position serves as a key partner to national account leadership, providing project oversight, strengthening QA/QC initiatives, conducting site visits, identifying and mitigating risks, and enhancing communication between offices. The Project Manager ensures that projects are delivered safely, consistently, and in alignment with established quality standards while supporting strong client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple active construction projects across various regions in the United States, ensuring alignment with organizational quality standards and project goals.
  • Monitor project performance and provide guidance and support to local project teams to keep projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
  • Assist with issue resolution and escalation management by identifying challenges early and coordinating appropriate responses with stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency in project execution and delivery across multiple regions, promoting standardized processes and best practices.
  • Identify potential project, staffing, quality, or schedule risks and implement corrective actions before they impact project delivery.
  • Support and strengthen QA/QC initiatives across active projects, including reviewing project performance and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular site visits to job locations to assess progress, verify adherence to specifications, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Improve communication and coordination between offices, project managers, office leaders, and executive leadership to support efficient project delivery.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews to support national account relationships and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Provide clear, concise, and professional reports and presentations that summarize project status, risks, and recommendations for leadership and clients.
  • Work independently with limited supervision, managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities across a mix of field, client-facing, and strategic planning responsibilities.
Essential Skills
  • 5–7 years of experience in project management, construction consulting, geotechnical, or construction services.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent construction projects.
  • Experience in construction and construction materials testing, including familiarity with field conditions and jobsite operations.
  • Knowledge of soil sampling and geotechnical engineering concepts relevant to construction projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a complex, multi-project environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Strong report writing skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate, and professional documentation.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills for engaging with clients, project teams, and leadership.
  • Experience with project oversight, risk management, and quality assurance/quality control practices in a construction or consulting context.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geology, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly beneficial for this role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
