Job description

Labor One Staffing is hiring Fiber Optic Helpers to support our technicians on an active field project in Brownsville, TX. This is a hands-on, entry-friendly role and a strong way into the growing fiber optic trade. No certification required — we are looking for dependable workers ready to learn and contribute on a fast-paced crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Support technicians with fiber installation and splicing activities

• Assist with cable pulling, routing, and basic field setup

• Help with site preparation, staging, and cleanup

• Follow instructions accurately and keep pace in a field environment

• Maintain safety standards at all times

Required Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction in a fast-paced field setting

• Comfortable with physical, outdoor labor

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

• Prior construction, telecom, or field labor experience a plus (not required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish

• OSHA 10

• Interest in earning FOA/CFOT certification and advancing into a technician role

Physical Requirements

• Outdoor field work

• Lifting/carrying up to approximately 50 lbs
