So, what will the General Laborer at Terrestris do?

The General Laborer will assist with preparing temporary camp facilities. This role involves assembling cots, sealing and securing tents, and helping set up sleeping and living areas to support staff or emergency response teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical labor, working outdoors, and following instructions to ensure camp structures are properly installed and safe for use.

What does a typical day look like for the General Laborer?

You will:

  • Assemble and arrange cots and sleeping areas inside tents or temporary shelters.
  • Assist with sealing, securing, and weatherproofing tents.
  • Unload, move, and organize camp equipment and supplies.
  • Set up basic camp infrastructure such as bedding areas, walkways, and storage areas.
  • Ensure tents and sleeping areas are clean, safe, and properly arranged.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to complete set-up tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with additional general labor tasks as needed.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • The ability to work in the United States permanently, without sponsorship.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A RealID Driver's License or Current Passport
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks such as bending, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), and standing for long periods.
  • Reliable transportation to and from Yuma, AZ.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English.
