Associate Market Leader

To recruit, select, onboard, field train, coach, and manage multiple line life and property & casualty independent insurance agents and agencies based on a market territory business plan that supports and achieves production growth, producer development, and profitable operations. To support a unique and rewarding culture. Serve as a sales leader for agents who serve clients for all our products and services. Maintain a strong relationship with Michigan Farm Bureau County leadership.

Participate in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, field training, agency coaching, and management of multi-line independent insurance agents and agencies. Assist the Senior Market Leader in achieving territory, regional, and company-wide multiple-line business plan objectives. Utilize and follow established company procedures and pre-contract agent candidate development to acquire and prepare potential candidates for agent status. Recruit agents for net growth and stability in the market territory agent headcount.

Select and recruit agent candidates in accordance with established recruiting guidelines. Recommend to the Senior Market Leader, Regional Sales Director and the Senior Sales Director for the appointment of new agents. Utilize multiple methods of education and development, including demonstration, review, observation, and ongoing evaluation, both in the field and in the office, to develop candidates into agents in our trusted advisor model.

Engage in all agent recruiting activities for the territory.

Assist in the refinement of recruiting best practices across all available agent candidate sources to ensure the recruiting objective is met year in and year out.

Required:
Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum two to four years of experience in insurance marketing and sales required.

Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

FINSECA membership required.

Acquire and maintain a certification in business coaching within 18 months of hire.
Preferred:
Management experience, in addition to a background in and knowledge of insurance and business plan development and implementation, is preferred.
ChFC, CPCU, LIC, CIC, and/or similar designations preferred.
Note:This is a work from home position (from the State of Michigan) primarily covering these Michigan counties: Livingston, Washtenaw, Lenawee, Monroe.
