Pre-K Lead Teacher

Peachtree Prep is seeking a passionate, energetic, and highly qualified Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our exceptional early childhood education team. Qualifications:

• Education credential required, including one of the following:
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Associate degree in Education or a related field
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Experience working with preschool or Pre-K age children preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Passion for early childhood education and child development

• Create lesson plans that make learning fun and follows the interests of the children in your class.
• Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health
• Prepare materials and the classroom for class activities.
• Instruct students individually and in small groups.
• Meet with parents and/or guardians to discuss their children's progress and to determine priorities for their children and their resource needs.
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
• Collaborate with other teachers and administrators
• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Organize and label materials and display students' work.
• Involve parent volunteers in children's activities to facilitate involvement
• Select classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Teach weekly thematic units to students and engage them with new information

Peachtree is a PreK through 12th grade College Preparatory School that hires talented educators and this position prepares students for success at the next level (Kindergarten) and beyond. Our Christian environment offers you students, that are ready to learn and who have supportive parents to maximize the learning process. The school is well-established and has a reputation for excellence. There is a need for technology skills since online training classes and lesson planning are required. There is always an opportunity to advance in teaching levels at Peachtree based on experience and training. A college degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is required. Salary is based on experience and years of service teaching pre-k or lower elementary students in an accredited school system. Be an encouraging teacher who supports student learning

• Google docs experience
• CPR/First Aid
• 2 years minimum experience
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field with T4 or T5 certification or be certified in GA within one year.

About Peachtree Prep, our Early Childhood Division

The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
