Field Manager – Commercial Glass & Glazing

Location: Marietta, GA

Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits

Overview

A respected commercial glass and glazing contractor is seeking an experienced Field Manager to oversee field operations throughout the Metro Atlanta market. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while serving as the primary liaison between field operations, project management, fabrication, and clients.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in commercial glazing who enjoys managing field teams, solving problems, and driving successful project execution from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead field installation crews across multiple commercial glass and glazing projects.
  • Coordinate daily field operations to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Review shop drawings and installation details with Project Managers to identify and resolve potential issues before installation begins.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and client requirements.
  • Monitor job site progress, address field issues, and communicate updates with Project Managers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries to maximize field productivity.
  • Partner with fabrication and project management teams to ensure materials and resources are available when needed.
  • Utilize scheduling software to efficiently assign field crews and support project schedules.
  • Identify and resolve field challenges while maintaining project quality and schedule.
  • Mentor and develop field personnel while promoting accountability, safety, and craftsmanship.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, Owners, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in the commercial glass and glazing industry.
  • Experience managing commercial glazing field operations and installation crews.
  • Strong knowledge of storefront systems, curtain wall, aluminum entrances, interior glass systems, and architectural glazing products.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and commercial construction best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore (or similar project management software), Bluebeam, Microsoft Project (or comparable scheduling software), and digital document management platforms.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel to local and occasional out-of-state project sites as needed.
