Job Summary
The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) is seeking a skilled and passionate Crafts Coach to collaborate with the Visual Arts Instructor in supporting and enhancing classroom instruction. This role assists students in developing hands-on skills across a wide range of craft disciplines, including fiber arts, assemblage, leather-working, pottery, sculpting, wire working, woodworking, screen printing, and related practices.

Key Tasks/Duties:
• Assist students in the design and creation of craft-based projects using a variety of materials and techniques across multiple disciplines.
• Demonstrate safe and proper use of tools, equipment, and specialized materials across craft areas (e.g., looms, kilns, woodworking tools, printing equipment).
• Support classroom management and monitor student progress under the direction of the Visual Arts Instructor.
• Encourage creativity, experimentation, and critical thinking through exploration of diverse craft practices.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant studio environment.
• Collaborate with the instructor to adapt projects and techniques to meet diverse student needs and skill levels.
• Complete required district onboarding and clearance requirements prior to providing services.
