Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Knitting and Crochet Instructor to lead engaging workshops and classes that inspire creativity and skill development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise in knitting and crochet techniques while fostering a welcoming environment for learners of all levels.
Duties
  • Design and deliver dynamic knitting and crochet classes tailored to various skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques for knitting, crochet, and related textile crafts, ensuring clarity and safety.
  • Provide personalized guidance to students, helping them troubleshoot projects and improve their craftsmanship.
  • Prepare instructional materials, patterns, and supplies needed for each session.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence among participants.
  • Monitor class progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods as needed.
  • Promote upcoming classes and community events to engage new learners and expand program reach.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in knitting and crochet with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Ability to teach techniques such as basic stitches, pattern reading, finishing skills, and creative design.
  • Mechanical knowledge of sewing machines or other textile tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection processes related to textile crafts is desirable.
  • Familiarity with materials handling, sewing techniques, screen printing, or manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Experience with warehouse operations including packaging, forklift operation, pallet jacks, or lean manufacturing principles is beneficial but not required.
