Job description

Utah Fertility Center's Pleasant Grove location is hiring a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our team! This is an opportunity to work in the innovative and exciting field of fertility and join an extraordinary and committed staff.
Our front office team members play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operation of our facilities by providing administrative support and ensuring a positive patient experience.
This position includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients and visitors.
  • Handling incoming phone calls, providing information, and directing calls to the appropriate team members.
  • Collecting patient payments.
  • Scheduling appointments for patients and rescheduling appointments as necessary.
  • Ensuring patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Handling administrative tasks.
  • Following privacy regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Keeping the reception area clean, organized, and presentable for patients and visitors.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be available to work in weekend and holiday rotation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of medical office or front-desk experience preferred.
  • Fertility, OB/GYN, women's health, or other healthcare experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential patient information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of phone calls, messages, and patient requests.
  • Experience with scheduling appointments and electronic medical records preferred.
  • Basic understanding of insurance verification and healthcare terminology preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Professional, compassionate, and empathetic when interacting with patients.
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
