Body and Fender and Paint Specialist
Ready to rev up your career? U-Haul is looking for an individual to perform minor body sheet-metal repairs, fiberglass repair, and repainting of body parts and interiors of U-Haul trucks and trailers. This position will involve the use of primers, enamels, wood finishing and fiberglass finishing materials. The individual will prepare surfaces by sanding, painting with primers and applying final paints.

We add to our fleet each year, thereby ensuring that you are always working on the latest new equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Repairing or replacing auto-body/van-body components
  • This includes but is not limited to: Bondo repair, dent pulling, fiberglass reinforced plywood (FRP) repair, bolt-on part replacement, decal installation, etc.
  • Repair equipment using appropriate tools to conform to U-Haul standards.
  • Restoring equipment to U-Haul quality
  • Critical thinking ability
  • Effectively follow work-order directions.
  • Perform work in a timely manner.
  • Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.

Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
