Job description

Trackside Service Specialist

As a Trackside Service Specialist you will supports logistics, inventory management, sales transactions, and customer service operations at Motorsports National Series racing events for Mickey Thompson Motorsports. The role serves as the primary trackside contact for race teams, providing tire distribution, technical support, mounting and balancing coordination, and expert product guidance. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, processing sales and payments, and ensuring efficient event operations while representing the company professionally with customers, distributors, and industry partners. Extensive travel is required, including frequent multi-day race events on weekends throughout the year.

What You Will Do

  • Manage tire inventory, logistics, distribution, and sales operations at Motorsports National Series events, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and product delivery.
  • Serve as the primary trackside contact for race teams, providing customer service, technical support, and guidance on tire selection and usage.
  • Process sales transactions, invoicing, and payment collection while maintaining compliance with company systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and oversee tire mounting and balancing services with on-site distributors to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Travel extensively to racing events, operating service vehicles and supporting event setup, execution, and customer-facing activities.
  • Maintain service units, equipment, and displays to ensure safe, reliable, and professional operations at all events

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, Operations, or a related field is valued and can complement industry experience.
  • Significant racing industry experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of motorsports operations and customer needs.

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to build strong relationships and provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new digital tools and business processes.
  • Experience with inventory management and logistics operations is preferred, along with technical knowledge related to racing products and services.
