Armstrong Fence Co is seeking a dependable and detailed oriented individual with strong project management and organization skills for our Assistant Project Specialist position.

This job would be perfect for a recently graduated student who is interested in construction management.

This individual will work in our Jacksonville, FL location.

Job Description

An Assistant Project Specialist is an administrative professional who will be responsible for assisting our Industrial Sales Team with bidding, organizing and controlling project activities throughout the course of any project.

Their duties may include reviewing job specs, coordinating with scheduling and operations, job bidding, job administrative work and more. And information. Project Assistant handle projects with the goal of seeing them through on time and within budget.

Minimum requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong ability to perform well under pressure and in stressful situations and circumstance
  • Flexible hours
  • Willing to work OT
  • Pass background check (no felonies or sex offenses)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Essential Duties

    Reviewing and submitting fence bids.

    Participate in project meetings and propose improvements if necessary

    Documenting and following up on actions and decisions from meetings

    Evaluate potential problems and develop solutions with suppliers

    Provide Administrative support as needed to the Industrial Sales Team.

    Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and accounted for

    Communicate with vendors

    Excellent problem-solving ability

    Document management and the ability to use project management software
