Job description

Job Title: Storekeeper
Work Place Flexibility: Onsite
Legal Entity: Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX
Note: This is an onsite role based out of our Service Center in Conroe, TX.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Under general supervision, with some latitude for planning or laying out of working details and with responsibility for results, must be willing and able to efficiently operate storeroom, issue and receive supplies and merchandise, maintain records necessary to properly record issue or receipt of all items passing through storeroom, take inventories, direct work of other storeroom employees, operate equipment used in handling material, and do related work as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Storekeeper:
  • Must have worked for at least three (3) years, and qualified as Storeroom Assistant, or have had equivalent experience in related work.
  • Must be willing and able to qualify for automobile and truck operator's license.
  • Know storekeeping procedure and be familiar with all records maintained in the storeroom.
  • Know materials and be willing and able to identify same by type, size, serial number, etc.
  • Must know and practice company's applicable safety rules.
  • Know location of firefighting equipment and be familiar with operation and use of the various types.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be willing and able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Be energetic and alert.
  • Be willing and able to work under unusual surroundings, as well as the normal working conditions pertaining to this job.
