Description
The Scheduler plays a key role in supporting the company's commitment to developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely and successful project delivery. This position collaborates with project teams to drive schedule accuracy and efficiency using industry-standard tools and practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Master company scheduling standards and best practices to ensure consistency across projects.

  • Coordinates the development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6, incorporating key milestones and dependencies.

  • Ensure the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of project schedules, identifying potential delays.

  • Participate in training and become proficient in the company's multiple scheduling applications (Primavera P6, SmartPM).

  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with project managers, superintendents, and team members.

  • Support the creation of preliminary schedules for estimating, illustrating work sequences, and contract timelines.

  • Incorporate resource and cost-loading data into schedules as directed.

  • Assist in monitoring short-term schedules, analyzing impacts on the master schedule, and proposing solutions to address variances.

  • Generate schedule reports (e.g., critical path, progress updates) to support project decision-making.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or design; commercial construction experience highly preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective team coordination.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficient in Primavera P6; familiarity with scheduling concepts (e.g., CPM) required.

  • Professional attitude with a positive approach to customer service (internal and external).

  • Ability to perform accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive project information.
