Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Flood Control Project Manager to lead public works and water resources projects in Arizona. This is a senior-level role focused on flood control design, hydrology/hydraulics modeling, and client-facing project leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage flood control and public works projects from planning through execution

  • Perform and oversee hydrology and hydraulic modeling

  • Lead FEMA-related studies and floodplain analysis

  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

  • Support business development and client relationship management


Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona (required)

  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or ability to obtain quickly

  • Strong experience in water resources and flood control projects

  • Proficiency with hydrology/hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., FLO-2D)

  • Experience with FEMA studies and ADMS/P preferred
