Job description

The Delivery Van Driver will play a fundamental role in making on-time deliveries to customers and servicing our neighborhoods, while continuously providing exceptional service and driving sales.

  • Pick up product and deliveries from store locations and deliver to customers’ homes and maintain appropriate documentation for this safety sensitive position
  • Add on sales while making deliveries
  • Stay aware of all current promotions and sales throughout the company
  • Pickup and deliver between stores (transfers) and maintain appropriate documentation for this safety sensitive position
  • Always represent the company in a positive manner
  • Must immediately inform supervisor of any issues with company vehicles or equipment when they arise, as well as report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations
  • Maintain a safe and competent driving record as demonstrated on state Motor Vehicle Record
  • Maintain a valid license
  • Must be forklift certificated
  • Participate in all company safety trainings
  • Load and Unload freight, including carrying out to sales floor, at home deliveries, or helping others with loading and unloading
  • Be “customer ready” whenever you are on the stage/sales floor
  • Uphold cleanliness standards (including, but not limited to, refraining from smoking in any Company-provided vehicle) in vehicles and work areas and complete weekly equipment maintenance checklist
  • Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized
  • Be alert for possible merchandise losses.  Protect all company assets and report any missing or damaged merchandise to your supervisor
  • Check condition of box(es) to ensure that there is no damage
  • Read transport documents to determine assignment details
  • Operate Company vehicle in a safe manner and comply with all applicable motor vehicle and traffic laws and ensure no usage of a cellphone is used while operating vehicle
  • Perform other tasks as asked by Managing Partners and members of Management
