Mobile Fleet Mechanic / Installer (No Shop / No Flat Rate)

Gas & Diesel Vehicles

We are hiring a Mobile Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a large commercial fleet and handle vehicle electronics installations. All work is performed on-site using a mobile setup — no shop lift and no retail customers.

Requirements
  • Experience with Ford and/or GM commercial vehicles
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
  • Fleet reliability and downtime reduction
  • Own basic tools
  • Fleet, mobile service, or vehicle upfitting experience preferred

Fleet Vehicles
  • Ford F-59 step vans
  • Ford E-450 cutaway / box trucks
  • GM 3500 cutaway / box trucks
Pay Structure (Tiered)

Fleet Mechanic I – $27.50–$32.50/hr.

  • Preventive maintenance & inspections
  • Brakes, suspension, steering
  • Starters, alternators, batteries
  • Cooling systems, belts, hoses
  • Lighting & basic electrical
  • Assist with installation of:
  • Security systems
  • VEDR / dash cameras
  • Backup cameras & reverse sensors

Fleet Mechanic II – $32.50–$37.50/hr.

  • All Mechanic I duties
  • Electrical & no-start diagnostics
  • Drivability troubleshooting
