  • Brown Federal Services is seeking an experienced Senior Subcontracts Manager to support a major Department of Energy (DOE) project in Piketon, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned federal contracting professional with extensive experience managing the full subcontract lifecycle in a highly regulated government environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR), and federal subcontract administration while providing strategic leadership to contracting activities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of the subcontract lifecycle from planning through closeout.
  • Develop subcontract strategies, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, company procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Track subcontract performance, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with project leadership and operations to support project objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison with DOE representatives and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze sourcing strategies and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare, review, and approve subcontract documentation and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to subcontract professionals.
  • Support department planning, staffing, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 15+ years of subcontract management or federal contracts experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of:
    • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
    • Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR)
    • Federal procurement practices
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Previous Department of Energy (DOE) experience.
    • Experience supporting environmental cleanup, nuclear, or government construction projects.
    • Experience managing teams and mentoring contract professionals.
    Security Clearance

    DOE L Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
