Job description

DEPCOM Power is seeking a Subcontract Specialist to support subcontract execution across a project portfolio. The selected individual will administer the compliance and administration side of our subcontracts, including prequalification, licensing, payment and compliance, deliverables and change order tracking, and execute the site service agreements that support our projects.
Ideally, this position will be physically located in Scottsdale, AZ,

Our Team
You will join DEPCOM's Subcontracts function within Supply Chain and be dedicated to one project portfolio, working daily with Project Managers, site teams, Accounting, and our subcontractors. Each portfolio has a Subcontract Specialist as its day-to-day point of contact for subcontract support, working alongside the discipline Subcontract Managers who handle scope and commercial negotiation.

What You Will Do
  • Lead subcontractor prequalification and maintain licensing, insurance, and compliance records for your portfolio
  • Administer payment compliance system, including subcontractor onboarding, compliance documentation and payment application support
  • Track subcontract deliverables, submissions, notices, and change orders, and chase what is outstanding
  • Execute site service agreements and task service agreements, including surveying, geotechnical, engineering, site inspections and similar scopes, and manage their change orders
  • Collaborate with subcontractors on documentation, deadlines, and project-specific requirements
  • Maintain accurate subcontract records and reporting for the portfolio
  • Proactively communicate barriers and promptly escalate late or at-risk items.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in contract administration, subcontract administration, project coordination, or document control in construction, engineering or legal field
  • Experience managing compliance documentation such as insurance certificates, licensing, lien waivers, or prequalification

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience with Textura, Procore, or comparable construction payment and document management systems
  • Utility-scale solar or EPC construction experience
  • Experience preparing or administering service agreements and change orders
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Business
