Job description

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a Systems Engineer. This is a full-time position. If local to DMV area, hybrid schedule is preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop technical solutions for federal RFPs, RFIs, and white papers that align with Astor's services and capabilities.
  • Write high quality proposal content including technical approach, staffing approach, transition and transformation plans, management approach, and innovation.
  • Work with program and technical SMEs to capture solution details and translate them into clear narrative and visuals.
  • Support client presentation development, including slides, messaging, and solution storytelling.
  • Stay current on federal IT trends, agency priorities, and industry approaches.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for select customers, providing periodic touchpoints, high level solution guidance, and relationship support.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a technical role, similar to Software Engineer, with 3 to 5 years' experience as a Solutions or Systems Engineer with a focus on selling technical solutions
  • Federal government industry experience
  • Strong understanding of federal IT domains including application development, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, Agile delivery, data analytics, AI/ML, and network engineering.
  • Understanding of government acquisition processes and RFP structure.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with proven ability to generate and present briefings on corporate capabilities to key stakeholders, write proposals, articulate technology solutions, etc.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple parallel efforts.
