Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent
DESCRIPTION:
As an Engineering Manager atFrontier-Kemper, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team of 10 Professional Engineers, along with more than eight engineers, designers, and detailers based in Evansville, IN.
  • Oversee all engineering and design functions across three operational divisions: Heavy Civil Tunneling, Mine Development, and OEM Equipment Manufacturing/FKC-Lake Shore.
  • Manage and maintain project engineering schedules and budgets.
  • Serve as the technical liaison with Division Managers, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Direct and coordinate engineering, operational, and quality initiatives to improve cost, delivery, and performance.
  • Ensure that all designs meet commercial, customer, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead three discipline managers in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years of related engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of operations management and/or engineering leadership experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
  • Strong technical background in Heavy Civil or Mining Construction.
  • Equipment design and manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating high-performing engineering teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
