Job description

What You'll Doย 
The Vocational Evaluator is responsible for the timely completion of a comprehensive Individual Vocational Assessment and Plan (IVAP) on behalf of participants assigned to vocational rehabilitation services.ย  ย ย 
ย 

Your responsibilities will include:ย 

  • Manage caseload to ensure the delivery of all vocational evaluation and employment planning services within prescribed timeframes.ย 
  • Interview participants to gather information on their employment, education, and training histories.ย 
  • Assess participants' vocational interests, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, behaviors, and functional limitations by administering and scoring a battery of tests and vocational evaluation tools.ย 
  • Supervise the measurement and recording of participant responses to motivational techniques and criticism, as well as organizational ability, perseverance, attendance, punctuality, flexibility, interpersonal skills, work habits, and communication skills.ย ย 
  • Develop employment plans, including education and vocational training recommendations, Community Service referrals, and appropriate jobs/job families, based on the results of the IVAP and other medical, mental health, substance abuse, and psychosocial assessments.ย ย 
  • Case conference with other WeCARE service providers on an as-needed basis, including Case Managers, Work Readiness Facilitators, Job Prep and Placement Coordinators, and Community Service Specialists.ย ย ย 
  • Document participant services and activities in management information systems, including, but not limited to, the HRA system, SEAMS, and FedcapCARES.ย 
  • Prepare IVAP reports with recommendations of vocational goals and work-related activities to meet those goals.ย 

You're a great fit for this role if you have:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational education, psychology, or education, or the equivalent in a related field.ย 
  • Prior relevant experience in vocational assessment preferred.ย 
  • Knowledge of vocational systems and valid testing procedures is required, as well as knowledge of the labor market and world of work.ย 
  • Bilingual (English Spanish) candidates preferred.ย 

Compensation

$23.08-$25.00/hr./48k-52k annuallyย
