Job Summary:
General Description:
Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, the Coordinator, Marketing & Communications works in collaboration with university departments to develop, coordinate, and implement marketing and communications activities for Fairleigh Dickinson University Vancouver. The Coordinator assists with the development and coordination marketing and communication tactics and activities for the Vancouver Campus that align with its strategic plan. The Coordinator is also responsible for assisting the team in following up with potential leads, providing campus tours, info sessions, and organizing on-campus marketing events and activities. The Coordinator will support admissions and enrollment communications, and student services functions as necessary in order to accomplish marketing and enrollment goals.
Principal Duties:
1. Works with the marketing and communications team and coordinates with communications and marketing events and activities.
2. Collaborates with FDU Vancouver Recruitment team with inquiries and follow-ups with students, agents, high school counsellors, and partners; supports planning info sessions, campus tours, and events.
3. Participates in the development and implementation of an overall Vancouver marketing and recruitment plan and comprehensive school/college relations program.
4. Provides support with digital marketing and media development, and activities of FDU Vancouver.
5. Plans, organizes and executes email marketing content and develops content based on various target audiences.
6. Coordinates with internal departments, partners, and third-party vendors contracted by FDU Vancouver to execute projects and purchases to support marketing and communication activities.
7. Supports the development of marketing and communications content for various platforms (social media, viewbook, blog, video, advertising, etc.) to engage new and existing audiences.
8. Assesses the effectiveness of communication plans and makes recommendations for future improvements using social media analytics, surveys, email metrics, and Google Analytics.
9. Monitors, recommends and communicates appropriate tools to increase awareness of the FDU Vancouver brand, locally and internationally.
10. Develops and analyzes communication plans by collaborating with departments and faculty that align with and support the Vancouver strategic plan.
11. Liaises with the internal FDU Vancouver and FDU departments as required.
12. Performs other work related duties as requested.
Required Qualifications:
1. Completion of a minimum two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field such as journalism, communications, marketing, business management, event management or any related field (degree preferred).
2. Minimum two years' experience working in the marketing and communications field, including digital marketing, event marketing, media and public relations, social media, experiential marketing and other relevant fields.
3. Two years of experience in the processes and procedures of recruiting students for study in Canada, preferably for post-secondary programs.
4. Proven experience in event management and digital marketing across multiple platforms, including content plan development, content generation and distribution, reputation management, and client relationship management.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams.
6. Experience with virtual meeting platforms (Teams and Zoom) and other email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact or Klaviyo) is a plus.
