Job Description:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineering Technician to support manufacturing test systems and Functional Circuit Test (FCT) operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience in electronics, troubleshooting, and manufacturing environments, preferably within the medical device industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Manufacturing Test Engineers with manufacturing test and FCT processes.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PCBA FCT fixtures and test stands.
- Perform preventive maintenance on test fixtures and systems.
- Maintain test PCs, instrumentation, cabling, and interfaces.
- Diagnose and resolve test system failures impacting production.
- Assist with hardware/software debugging of FCT systems.
- Execute fixture verification after repairs or engineering changes.
- Support fixture builds, modifications, and ECO implementation.
- Maintain PM records, repair logs, and calibration documentation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Computer Systems Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Functional Circuit Test (FCT) systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Medical device manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment, and electronic assembly tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and FDA regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar automated test software.
- Experience in PCBA manufacturing.
- Basic programming/scripting (Python, VB, C+, or similar).
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments.
