We opened the first Fat Boy's Pizza in Metairie, Louisiana in March 2019. Since then, we have been slinging slices and smiles to hungry guests of all ages. Fat Boy's Pizza is dedicated to delivering exceptional food and drink at a fair price and delivered with a warm and genuine smile. Position Summary

The General Manager manages and drives the entire operation of the restaurant. This position is for people who have extensive experience as a restaurant leader and a strong desire to be a part of a successful and growing brand.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Hires and trains restaurant staff.
  • Organizes and oversees the staff schedules.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy.
  • Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
  • Handles guest issues, resolving issues in a positive and courteous manner.
  • Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
  • Enacts best practices in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Controls Food & Beverage, Labor, and Supplies costs, maximizing profitability.
  • Manages inventory and purchases food and other supplies with a focus on bottom line of the restaurant's P&L statement.
  • Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance; schedules for service.
  • Maintains cash accountability systems.
  • Leads a Team of Assistant Managers and Team Members, ensuring a competent and well trained staff at all times.
  • Participates aggressively in the Marketing of their restaurant.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Must be able to interact in a positive, friendly manner with others, with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
  • Must be driven to strive to succeed and grow with Fat Boy's Pizza.
  • Must be able to be relied upon for a strong effort.
  • Must have minimum 3 years previous experience in the restaurant management field, General Manager and above are extremely helpful but not critical.
  • Possess excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, alcohol service standards, and other restaurant guidelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Familiarity with utilizing restaurant systems, H/R, and other related software packages.

  • Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly
  • Walk and carry objects less than 50 Lbs.
  • Occasionally lift objects up to 50 Lbs.
  • Work with and around hot cooking equipment.
  • This is a work on location position, work from home not available.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Starting base pay range is $50,00-$60,000 / year

Vacation

  • Eligible for two weeks of annual paid vacation from date of hire.

Performance Bonus

  • Eligible for quarterly profit sharing bonuses upon completion of the training program.
