Job description

Precision, contract machining business is looking for an experienced Assembler.

Job responsibilities: Highly repetitive, simple short cycle mechanical assembly following prescribed routing or where method of assembly is obvious. Work is typically performed at a bench and may include standing or walking. Light painting in a filtered paint booth is also a daily activity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Removing and installing common hardware and fasteners.
  • Light painting.
  • Reading routers, blueprints, and work instructions to identify components and specifications that are necessary for assembly conformance.
  • Inspection of products before, during and after assembly processes.
  • Identify and document product defects.
  • Recording time and quantity for job tracking.
  • Maintain inventory of product / hardware in workstation.
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly workspace.

SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Dependable.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Experience reading blueprints and following written instructions.
  • Experience using common hand and power tools and operating fastener installation machines.
  • Experience painting with a respirator and a paint booth is preferred.
  • Manufacturing and/or machine shop experience is preferred.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
