Job description

For our quick service restaurant, we are looking to add a welcoming and professional cashier to the team. As the customer's first point of contact, you will greet and serve customers as they enter the restaurant, respond to inquiries, and take orders for food and drinks. This is a busy, high-volume food service environment, and we need someone who can provide exceptional customer service. Additional duties include the cleanup of public areas, order packaging, and register tally at the end of the shift. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a willingness to be adaptable and take on a variety of tasks, are required of the ideal candidate. $15 - $17 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Accept orders from customers, type them into the register, and send them to the kitchen staff
  • Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner
  • Relay charges to customer, take payments and give back the appropriate change if necessary
  • Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift
  • Keep the kitchen, dining room, and service areas clean and sanitized

Qualifications:
  • Experience handling money and payments in a cashier role preferred
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Strong cash register and point of sale system experience are desired
  • Fundamental math skills are necessary to successfully take payments and return proper change to customers
