Job description

Company specializing in the import and distribution of French foods seeks individual to assist with import functions.
Responsibilities:

  • following up on all orders placed with French suppliers to ensure that orders have been received and are being treated in a timely fashion,
  • identification of any discrepancies in description, pricing, or quantities
  • managing container schedule
  • preparation of worksheets used for customs clearance
  • maintenance of records documenting compliance with all relevant regulations
  • maintenance of product and supplier database
  • scheduling and recording of payments
  • on-site involvement with reception of products

Qualifications:

  • Extensive spreadsheet experience
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of French helpful but not essential

Must be authorized to work in the US
