Job description

Join the Jeffrey Smith Agency of Farmers Insurance as a full-time Insurance Sales Representative in Brighton, Colorado. This is a sales-forward role where you'll build relationships with families and individuals in the community, helping them protect what matters most while growing your own career and income.

Office Location: 21 North 1st Ave, Suite 120, Brighton, CO 80601

You'll join an established agency as a full-time employee with a base salary and uncapped commission potential. This is not a passive role you'll be expected to prospect, follow up, and consistently convert new business across auto, home, life, and health lines.

Compensation:

  • Variable Compensation: Uncapped commission plan, 50% of all new business commissions

Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop new client relationships through outbound calls, referrals, and community engagement
  • Consult with clients on auto, home, life, and health insurance options to match coverage to their needs
  • Quote, present, and close new personal lines policies
  • Manage policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and client inquiries with accuracy and care
  • Support clients through the claims process and connect them with the right resources
  • Maintain accurate client records and follow agency workflows consistently
  • Meet monthly new business production goals and contribute to agency growth

Requirements

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain a Colorado P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance license or currently licensed
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting, follow-up, and a metrics-driven work environment
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple client interactions

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in insurance sales, financial services, or a client-facing sales role
  • Active Colorado insurance license (P&C and/or Life & Health)
  • Familiarity with CRM software
